This course will serve as a guide for new parents. A newborn course overs the basics of caring for a newborn baby during their first few months of life. 1. Immediately after baby is born- everything you need to be aware of the post partum procedures and care 2. Feeding basic: Learning about the different feeding options for newborns, including breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, and formula-feeding, pumping basics, latching and positioning during breastfeeding, and the proper preparation and storage of formula. 3. Sleeping: Understanding newborn sleep patterns and safe sleep and strategies for helping a newborn develop healthy sleep habits. 4. Diapering and hygiene: Learning how to properly change a diaper and care for a newborn's delicate skin. 5. Development and milestone from 1 to 6 months- Understanding the physical, cognitive, and emotional changes that a newborn goes through in the first few months of life. 6. Common neonatal problems and When to see the doctor- Understanding common safety concerns for newborns, such as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), and knowing how to respond to common medical emergencies, such as rash or fever, and when to seek professional medical help.
